Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy

Before reading and following the information below, please contact me at eric@roadtocompassion.com to see if I have room for new clients. If you are interested in PSIP training, go to the Psychedelic Somatic Institute (PSI) website.

Because Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) is very deep trauma work, it is important to be well informed and prepared. Please read all of the information below before we meet to explore the possibility of working together.

Cannabis is the medicine used with PSIP, but PSIP can also be done without medicine. PSIP is ongoing therapy. The initial phases of the work - establishing trust and building up your resources - are done over Zoom. Medicine sessions generally happen in person.

If you are interested in receiving PSIP from me, please follow the steps listed below before contacting me.

1. Watch video number 1 on this page of the Psychedelic Somatic Institute website. (From the same page, video 2, video 3, and the White Paper are also recommended.)

2. Read the four short articles on this page.

3. PSIP can bring up some of our deepest trauma, so it is important to be well-resourced.  Take some time to reflect on how consistent you are with your self-care and how well you can bring yourself back to calm when you are stressed or upset.

If, after following the above steps, you are interested in working with me, please email me your answers to the following questions:

- Do you have friends or family to turn to for emotional support? It is normal and expected that PSIP opens up very difficult and vulnerable feelings that can take time to process. It's essential to have people to turn to during these challenging periods of the PSIP work.

 - What activities and tools do you have to calm your nervous system and help you feel good? And, roughly how much time do you spend using these tools and doing these activities?

- What is your experience with psychedelic-assisted healing/therapy and with other types of therapy or inner healing work?

Stumble with grace

This is not a race

Your destiny is patient

The Healing takes the time

That it needs to tak

And no amount of force

Will hasten it
