RESTORING THE SOUL: 5-Day Residential Retreat on Bowen Island, BC

Sarah, Eric, and Mika are inspired to support you to unlock your painful stories about yourself and others, and walk through the door to embrace your full self and your meaning in the world.   If you are tired of feeling numb or frozen, getting stuck and reactive, or feeling unsure about how to counsel others while staying present and compassionate with yourself and your own challenges, then join us for our RESTORING THE SOUL RETREAT.

  • Discover what blocks your vitality and keeps you frozen
  • Reclaim moments of trauma that cut you off from life
  • Receive compassionate, empathic support to explore the places of disconnection from your soul
  • Come into full aliveness, so that painful and joyful emotions and experiences are all part of the dance of your life
  • Learn integrative approaches/processes for self-connection
  • Experience new levels of connection with self and others
  • Take away specific integrative processes that will deepen your empathy with yourself & others
  • Rejuvenate your counseling or empathy experience
  • Depth processes that support trans-generational healing and integration
  • Reclaim lost parts of your soul.

Our 5 days at Rivendell on Bowen Island will flow through large group sessions, smaller break-out group sessions, partner empathy and practice, meals, and contemplative time--meditation, labyrinth walking, connection with nature, self-empathy, rest, writing.

PREREQUISITE:

We welcome people with varying levels of experience with NVC, and we'd also like to offer support and opportunities for learning empathy before the retreat to those wishing to gain more confidence in giving and receiving empathy.

We'd love for each soul to be held with care and receive empathic support from the group as a whole so that everyone can feel safe to do the healing work she or he wants to do.

If you are unsure whether your NVC experience is sufficient for you to enjoy this residential retreat, please email Eric Bowers at eric@roadtocompassion.com or Mika Maniwa ehmehm13@hotmail.com to arrange a time to discuss your concerns over the phone.

LOGISTICS:

Arrive in the afternoon on Sunday, August 19th and depart at noon on Friday, August 24th.
