our approach to the learning environment

Content and structure are tailored to suit the needs of the specific group, both prior to the course and during the group sessions

There are four cornerstones to our approach to facilitating groups

  • Experiential learning~ learning through exploring personal experience in relation to the material being shared and using various activities to address different learning styles. Use of demonstrations, role plays, visual aids, exercises involving movement, games and the "NVC Dancefloors" *
  • Group relationship ~ interactive partner and group exercises, learning through being in relation with others, working with the present group dynamic as fodder for learning
  • Co-creation~ ongoing input and feedback is requested from the group to ensure the learning is relevant and fluidly meeting the needs of those present
  • Real Life Material~ we share from our own life challenges, growth and insights through re-enacting interactions, answering questions candidly, and sharing stories in relation to the topic

The NVC Dancefloors: The Dancefloors are interactive maps that use movement and visuals to support a fuller integration of the Compassionate Communication process. They were developed by Certified NVC Trainers Bridget Belgrave and Gina Lawrie~ www.GnB.org.uk
